From assessment to placement
A moving process should make responsibilities clear before the crew arrives. Call Me Movers uses a flexible sequence for domestic residential and commercial moves across the UAE. The details change according to the property, inventory and service, but the core stages remain enquiry, assessment, scope confirmation, preparation, moving day and handover.
You can request full support or select only the services you need. The final quotation should state what is included, any customer responsibilities and conditions that could change the scope.
A controlled moving sequence
Five clear stages, one connected plan
Each stage is confirmed against the actual inventory, property access and agreed service scope.
- 01AssessInventory and access
- 02ScopeWork and responsibilities
- 03PreparePacking and protection
- 04MoveLoading and transport
- 05PlaceDelivery and checks
Step 2: Choose the appropriate assessment
Not every move needs the same survey method.
Phone or form assessment
A smaller, straightforward scope may be reviewed from a detailed conversation or form submission. Measurements or photographs may still be requested for specific furniture and access.
WhatsApp photographs
Photographs help confirm box quantities, furniture types, room volume and lifting routes. Send clear images rather than close-ups that hide the overall size.
Video survey
A video survey allows the inventory and access to be reviewed in sequence. Walk through every room, balcony, storage area, garage or workspace included in the move. Point out stairs, lift routes and items that may need dismantling.
Onsite survey
Larger villas, offices, shops, warehouse premises or complex access may justify an onsite assessment. Remote quotations are free. An onsite survey may carry a fee, and any charge must be disclosed before the visit is confirmed.
Step 3: Define the written scope
The quotation should translate the assessment into an understandable scope. Depending on the request, it may include:
- Moving boxes and protective materials
- Full or partial packing
- Fragile-item preparation
- Furniture wrapping
- Suitable dismantling and reassembly
- Loading and transport within the UAE
- Unloading by room, department or zone
- Full or selected unpacking
- Final placement
- Short-term or long-term storage
- Information about optional transit insurance
Check the exclusions as carefully as the included work. Plumbing, gas, electrical connections, specialist IT setup, pet relocation, vehicle transport, cargo and international shipping are not provided.
If the inventory, locations, access or moving date changes after quotation, notify the team. The scope may need to be reviewed rather than leaving the crew to solve a different job on arrival.
Step 4: Confirm access and timing
Customers are normally best placed to communicate with landlords, building management and property representatives. Confirm whether either address has:
- Service-lift bookings
- Loading-bay restrictions
- Parking approval
- Permitted moving hours
- Reception or security procedures
- Long walking distances
- Stair-only access
- Key or handover timing
For an inter-emirate move, confirm that the destination will be available when the vehicle arrives. Storage may be considered when the origin must be cleared before the destination can accept delivery.
The moving date is not fully protected from factors beyond any mover’s control, but early access planning reduces avoidable waiting and rescheduling.
Step 5: Prepare personal essentials
Some belongings should remain with the customer. Prepare a separate essentials group containing items such as:
- Identification and property documents
- Medication
- Keys and access cards
- Jewellery and high-value personal items
- Chargers and essential electronics
- Clothing and toiletries for the first day
- Children’s immediate needs
- Business materials required before reopening
Do not place these items inside general moving boxes unless a specific arrangement has been agreed. Clearly identify anything that must not be loaded.

Step 6: Pack and label the inventory
Packing can be completed by the customer, the moving crew or both. When professional packing is included, the team prepares the agreed rooms and items using suitable boxes and protective materials.
Labels should identify the destination room or business zone and, where useful, the contents category. Fragile items need visible identification, but the packing method remains more important than the label alone.
Furniture is assessed against the access route. Suitable items may be dismantled, with hardware kept associated with the correct piece. Existing damage, delicate surfaces and manufacturer limitations should be noted before work begins.
Customers packing independently should avoid boxes that are too heavy, poorly sealed or filled with incompatible items. Ask about materials before using weak containers for books, kitchenware or fragile belongings.
Step 7: Moving-day briefing and loading
The responsible customer contact should be available when the crew arrives. Begin with a short confirmation of:
- The inventory and excluded items
- Packing still required
- Fragile or priority belongings
- Furniture work
- Access route
- Storage items
- Destination plan
The crew then prepares and loads according to the agreed sequence. Items required first at the destination should not be buried behind longer-term storage inventory. Business customers may use numbered zones or departments to maintain order.
Safe lifting and protection remain necessary even for same-day or emergency moves. Urgency does not make an unsuitable item, restricted route or overloaded box safer.
Step 8: Domestic transport
Call Me Movers transports the agreed inventory within the UAE. Local moves remain within one emirate, while inter-emirate moves coordinate the origin, travel and destination as one schedule.
We do not provide international shipping, freight forwarding, customs clearance or cargo logistics. If a customer also needs those services, they must arrange them separately with an appropriate provider.
Optional transit insurance may be discussed on request. Coverage is not assumed or described as automatic. Read the applicable terms, exclusions and valuation requirements before accepting protection.
Step 9: Unload according to the destination plan
At the destination, the responsible contact should confirm rooms, departments or storage zones. Clearly labelled boxes can be taken directly to the correct area, reducing later movement inside the property.
Large furniture placement should be decided before final positioning. Keep access routes clear until all large items have entered. Customers should avoid directing several crew members independently; one decision-maker reduces conflicting instructions.
Storage inventory should remain separated from items intended for immediate delivery. Confirm what has entered storage and what has arrived at the destination.

Step 10: Reassembly, unpacking and final placement
Suitable furniture included in the scope can be reassembled and positioned. The crew can also provide full or selected unpacking according to the quotation. Customers may prefer support only for fragile rooms, kitchen boxes or major furniture.
Appliances can be positioned, but qualified technicians must handle plumbing, gas or electrical connection work. Specialist installations and IT systems remain outside the moving scope.
Before handover, review included work, placement and any packing material scheduled for removal. Report concerns through the agreed contact channel rather than waiting until details are difficult to verify.
When storage is part of the process
Short-term storage may bridge a handover gap or renovation. Long-term storage may support downsizing, business inventory or an extended property transition. In either case, create an inventory and pack for the expected duration.
Confirm access expectations, release procedures and facility conditions before storage begins. Public website content will not replace the specific storage terms agreed for the inventory.
What happens after a quote request?
After receiving your details, Call Me Movers reviews whether the information is sufficient for a remote quotation or whether photographs, video or an onsite survey are needed. You may be contacted by phone, WhatsApp or email about the enquiry.
No published online price is used as a substitute for reviewing the move. Property size is only one factor; inventory, access, services, distance, storage and urgency also matter.
If the plan changes before moving day
Moving dates, property handovers and inventories can change. Contact the team as soon as a change becomes likely rather than waiting until the crew arrives. A new address, additional room, unavailable lift, storage request or altered date may affect the assessment and agreed scope.
Some changes can be absorbed through a revised plan, while others may require different availability, materials or vehicle capacity. The important point is to review the effect openly. A quotation prepared for one inventory and access arrangement should not be treated as confirmation of a substantially different move.
If the destination is delayed, ask whether short-term storage is suitable. If the moving date becomes urgent, provide updated photographs and access information so same-day or emergency feasibility can be assessed. Availability remains conditional rather than guaranteed.
Start the process
Prepare the origin, destination, property type, preferred date and a realistic inventory summary. The more accurately the first stage describes the move, the more useful the assessment and scope can be.
